The barca striker is set to miss the start of the LA liga campaign and key world cup qualifiers for his country Uruguay after suffering knee injury on Wednesday.
Barcelona and the Uruguay football Association announced the news on Thursday, confirming the striker will be sidelined for the start of the laliga campaign as well as upcoming world cup qualifiers against Argentina and Paraguay.
Luis suraez seems to suffer the injury in the 85 minute of Barcelona 2-0 loss to real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, with real Madrid winning 5-1 on aggregate. The striker finish the match despite the injury.
